Come out to Maidstone Bicentennial Museum and see history come alive at the 14th annual War of 1812 Encampment.

 *Strole through various period campsites as re-enactors demonstrate weaving, period cooking, rope making, and finger weaving.

 * see how Pemican was made. 

 * Check out the museum exhibits on the  1812 Timeline in Essex County and the Aboriginal Contributions in the War of 1812.  

 * Demonstrations and firing of historic weapons, such as cannons and muskets

 * The Gift Shop will be open with great souvenirs, old-fashioned candy, Native Artwork, books and more 

* Music, Food and Fun
